The City of Port Coquitlam initiated a comprehensive redevelopment of Veterans Park, Leigh Square, and the surrounding public spaces adjacent to City Hall. The objective was to transform a collection of fragmented civic areas—bounded by Shaughnessy Street, Donald Street, and Leigh Square Place—into a cohesive, accessible, and vibrant civic centre that better serves the community.

The project focused on unifying these public spaces to enhance connectivity, support a broader range of civic activities, and create a more welcoming environment for everyday use and special events. Integrated lighting played a key role in this transformation—improving safety, extending the usability of the space into the evening hours, and contributing to the overall atmosphere through creative and programmable lighting features.

Hadco Pima Pendants and Selux Olivio luminaires were beautifully mounted on Structura BOL Accoya wood poles, combining sleek design with functional lighting for a stylish outdoor setting.

Bega system bollards, a modular system that allows the combination of luminaire heads and luminaire tubes with various additional functions, are installed throughout. These bollards offer shielded 360º light distribution and has an integral GFCI outlet housed behind a lockable access door.
